Dear Friend of ChSA, I would like to take this opportunity, to thank you once again for your faithfulness in prayer and support. We feel privileged that you want to participate in our mission work among Polish students and graduates. The work God is calling us to is our constant joy. It's a wonderful feeling and honour, that we can serve as His instruments in this task.

Our work is developing and this is what has been going on in the past few months:
Six summer camps, out of which graduate ministry and a new energy for evangelism have exploded.
A good November leadership training time in which we focused on growing our relationship with God. Students learned how to study the Bible, what helps prayer be powerful and effective, and how to share their story of faith with friends. One student became a Christian at this conference.
Staff are focusing more on mentoring individual leaders and helping them to develop personally, as well as their skills.
Two new student groups have started and more are in the works, bringing our current number to 24. We also have five international student groups (one of them started the new Polish group!) in major cities across Poland.
Ministry to graduates re-started with a camp last summer in Wisla and one group in Warsaw with another soon to start in Gdansk. We also held a wonderful New Year's camp for graduates in the Beskidy mountains.
Start of the publishing initiative Credo. Our first book that had been translated and published is "The Letters of the Apostle John" by David Jackman. Edyta and Rysiek, longtime supporters and participants in ChSA's ministry, are the key force behind this initiative. We want to see Christians around Poland blessed by these books and to see the work of ChSA grow as a result.
Sharon, a British volunteer joined us in Warsaw last October, after having served with Innovista for the past 18 months; and two new Polish staff joined us in January: Ewa, former student leader, will take care for 3 student groups: in Wroclaw, Zielona Gora and Opole and Dorota, an almost-graduate of International Relations faculty, will take over a secretary job in ChSA office.

A conference geared toward young women (students and graduates) to be held in Warsaw during Women's Day (March 7-9) called "Steadfast Love."
Our March leadership training will have Jason Lane from Innovista. Jason is going to train student leaders in evangelism using the Willow Creek "Becoming a Contagious Christian" materials.
The international student Easter conference, geared toward sharing the truth of Christ with students who may never have heard the gospel in their home countries.
More books to be published (including What's so Amazing About Grace and The Cross of Christ).
Eight summer camps, evangelistic and discipleship-oriented, two of which will focus on graduates.
An IFES-sponsored Pan-European student leadership training conference, Formación, to be held in Poland in July.
Our October bi-annual national conference with George Verwer from Operation Mobilization.
This and more, including regular local meetings for students, events for non-christians and graduates.

We are excited to see how God is at work within ChSA and using us to impact students and graduates. At the same time we face a challenge in our trust to God, as we are facing financial difficulties which are hindering our work.
Our present financial situation is one of the most difficult ChSA has ever experienced. We are trying to raise our funds both in Poland and abroad. And this is our average monthly situation (for the last four months):
in Poland we have raised around 1000 USD per month (each staff is involved in fund raising)
through foreign individual donors (like you) and churches, mostly from the US, we gather also around 1000 USD per month
our IFES grant this year is 600 USD per month
other gifts sent by cheques directly to Poland - around 400 USD per month
salaries for 9 people of Polish staff, their insurance, taxes, travel costs, and other fixed costs amount to 5000 USD per month
and so, as a movement, we have now a gap of 2000 USD per month
This month it led to a situation that we could pay staff only half of their salary, what is very difficult for me and them.
Although we tried hard to find new donors or churches that could support us, we didn't succeed. Therefore I'm turning to you to see if you could help us in contacting and finding new sponsors, who would like to support us financially and participate with ChSA - IFES Poland in mission among Polish students.
If you personally would also like to consider supporting ChSA, or if you already support us - to increase your support, we would be very grateful to you, especially in this difficult moment.
I also ask you for prayer that none of the staff would feel discouraged in their ministry, for God's provision and help, for openness and generosity of other believers.
In the love of Jesus Christ,
Yours,

Ewa Pieszka
